Well the difference of brands very but I usually try to by a Japanese made camera because they usually have a higher quality. Some cameras are easy to carry portable that you can use for snapping a quick pic of the kids. Other cameras are not so portable that can take great pics. Now days more and more cameras are becoming digital and SLR cameras. The smaller cameras are usually SLR to me the bigger ones are fixed lens.
